Feynlab Ceramic
Coatings
As a certified Feynlab installer, we apply professional-grade nano-ceramic coatings that permanently bond to your paint โ delivering years of gloss, hardness, and protection against UV, chemicals, and environmental contaminants.

Why Feynlab Outperforms Every Other Coating
Most ceramic coating brands you've heard of were actually built on Feynlab chemistry. Feynlab spent years supplying its nano resin technology as a private label to other well-known coating companies โ quietly powering the industry from behind the scenes. When they finally brought their products to market under their own name, they already had a decade of real-world proof behind them.
Feynlab is made in the USA, headquartered in Lombard, IL. Their team of scientists โ trained at institutions including Oxford University โ pioneered nano resin systems and literally coined the term "Ceramic Coating" over 15 years ago. This isn't marketing language. They invented the category.
Where most coatings are a single-layer silica formula, Feynlab engineers each product with a specific molecular architecture โ tuned for hardness, flexibility, hydrophobicity, or self-healing depending on the tier. That's why their coatings don't just look better on day one โ they hold up for years in ways that cheaper products simply can't.

Feynlab vs. Other Ceramic Coatings
Not all ceramic coatings are created equal. Here's what separates Feynlab from the brands you'll find at a dealership or a big-box auto parts store.
- ChemistryProprietary nano resin molecular architecture โ engineered layer by layer for each product tier
- Hardness9H โ the highest rating on the pencil hardness scale; resists marring, swirls, and fine scratches
- HydrophobicityExtreme water beading and sheeting โ dirt and grime can't bond to the surface
- Longevity3 to 7+ years of protection depending on package โ backed by a real warranty reported to Carfax
- TechnologyBiphasal and self-healing formulas available โ no other brand offers this at the same level
- Installer standardCertified installer network only โ applied in a controlled environment following strict protocol
- ChemistryGeneric SiOโ silica formula โ same base chemistry across most brands, often diluted for easy application
- HardnessMarketed as 9H but rarely tested โ many consumer products measure 6Hโ7H in real conditions
- HydrophobicityDecent initially but degrades quickly โ often loses water-beading performance within 6โ12 months
- Longevity1โ2 years in practice โ "lifetime" warranties are often voided by normal washing or environmental exposure
- TechnologySingle-layer formula only โ no biphasal architecture, no self-healing capability
- Installer standardApplied by anyone โ no certification, no controlled environment, no protocol to ensure proper bonding
Feynlab Ceramic Ultra V3 โ The Biphasal Difference
Most ceramic coatings โ even good ones โ are a single-phase formula. You apply one product, it cures, and that's your protection layer. The Ultra V3 works differently. It's a biphasal coating, meaning it's engineered as two chemically distinct phases that work together in a single application.
The first phase is a dense, hard basecoat that bonds directly to the paint. It fills microscopic surface imperfections, creates an incredibly rigid foundation, and provides the bulk of the chemical and UV resistance. Think of it as the armor layer โ it's what protects your paint from the harsh stuff.
The second phase is an extreme hydrophobic topcoat that sits above the basecoat. This is where the Ultra V3's gloss and water behavior come from. Because it's a separate phase rather than a single blended formula, it can be optimized specifically for surface energy โ meaning water doesn't just bead, it sheets off instantly. Dirt, road grime, and brake dust have almost nothing to grab onto.
The result is a coating that doesn't have to compromise. Single-phase coatings have to balance hardness against hydrophobicity in one formula โ make it harder and you lose some water-shedding performance, make it more hydrophobic and you sacrifice some rigidity. The Ultra V3 doesn't have that tradeoff. Each phase does its job independently, and together they deliver 5 years of protection that genuinely holds up.
Phase 1 โ Hard Ceramic Basecoat
Bonds directly to the paint surface. Fills microscopic imperfections, creates a rigid 9H foundation, and provides the primary barrier against UV radiation, chemical etching, bird droppings, tree sap, and road contaminants.
Phase 2 โ Extreme Hydrophobic Topcoat
Sits above the basecoat and is optimized purely for surface energy. Water contact angles exceed 110ยฐ, causing water to sheet off instantly rather than bead and sit. Dirt and grime have almost no surface to bond to.
Why Biphasal Beats Single-Layer
Single-phase coatings compromise โ they blend hardness and hydrophobicity into one formula and lose performance in both. The Ultra V3 separates the two jobs so each phase can be fully optimized. No tradeoffs.
Depth of Gloss
The dense basecoat creates a perfectly flat, optically clear foundation. The hydrophobic topcoat adds a wet-look depth that single-layer coatings can't replicate. The result is a mirror finish that looks like the car just rolled off a showroom floor โ indefinitely.
Long-Term Durability
Because the two phases work independently, the coating doesn't degrade the way single-layer products do. Even as the topcoat weathers slightly over years of use, the basecoat remains fully intact โ maintaining protection and allowing the hydrophobic layer to be refreshed if needed.

Our Coating Process
Decontamination Wash
Full exterior wash, clay bar, and iron decontamination to remove all bonded surface contaminants.
Paint Correction
Machine polishing to remove swirl marks, scratches, and oxidation โ so the coating bonds to perfect paint.
Panel Wipe & IPA
Each panel is wiped with isopropyl alcohol to remove all polish oils and ensure a clean bonding surface.
Coating Application
Feynlab ceramic coating is applied panel by panel in a controlled environment, then cured to full hardness.
Common Questions
Is paint correction necessary before ceramic coating?
Yes โ every car gets paint correction before ceramic is applied. Not only does it remove minor imperfections caused by dealerships, manufacturers, or daily use, it also preps the paint for the coating to adhere better and last longer.
How long does the process take?
On average we have a vehicle for 3 days start to finish. Feynlab Self Heal coatings can take up to 5 days due to the infrared curing process.
Do ceramic coatings prevent scratches?
A ceramic coated car will help prevent fine scratches, staining, and etching โ but not deep scratches from rock chips or parking lot damage. The Self-Healing package can repair light surface scratches with heat.
Do I still need to wash my car?
Yes, but far less often. Your vehicle will stay cleaner longer and washing will be much easier โ dirt and grime won't bond to the surface the way they do on uncoated paint.
What does 9H hardness mean?
It measures how resistant the coating is to scratching โ based on the Mohs pencil hardness scale. A 9H rating means the coating is extremely hard, helping resist marring, swirls, and fine scratches from daily use.
